What is qi, really?

Everyone's talking about qi. Here's some ideas:
It's the difference between a plant that's alive and one that's about to die — same soil, same water, same sunlight. Something is moving in one that isn't moving in the other.
TCM calls that something qi.
In your body, it shows up as:
→ The energy you have (or don't have) when you wake up
→ How well your digestion actually works
→ Whether you feel clear-headed or foggy by 3pm
→ How quickly you bounce back after stress or illness
Qi isn't magic. It's function. It's the vitality that keeps your systems running — and when it's blocked, deficient, or moving in the wrong direction, you feel it.
You just might not have had a word for it until now.
Save this if it shifted something for you. And drop a comment — had you heard of qi before, or is this new?
